Weight Loss with Semaglutide, aka GLP-1

Semaglutide aka Glucagon Like Peptide-1 (GLP-1), is an FDA approved medication for weight loss. With the right dose, most people will have their appetite reduced by 50% making this weight loss option effortless. For many patients, this is the first medication to help them with hunger pangs.

Semaglutide helps insulin to work more efficiently and helps to control sugar levels. This medication was initially used to help diabetics but has also shown to even reverse prediabetes and improve hypertension in patients. It has been very popular to help non-diabetics to lose weight. Semaglutide has been a game changer for many patients when their metabolism slows down due to age or hormonal changes. Appetite is decreased with semaglutide because it slows down the digestion process by helping patients to feel full faster and stay fuller for a longer period of time so patients naturally eat less.
